Syberia is a graphic adventure of great international success developed by Microids and published in 2002 through The Adventure Company.
This is the second collaboration between the Belgian cartoonist Benoit Sokal and Microids, the two sides had already worked together for Amerzone, published in 1999 (to which Syberia contains several references).

Syberia was a great success with the public and critics, winning numerous awards.

Plot: Kate Walker is a young and promising lawyer in New York, her profession allows her to have a nice comfortable life. She is also engaged seriously with a guy named Dan and her life seems to be like that of many other women with a career until the the law firm where she works sends her to a village in the French Alps named Valadilène to conclude a business negotiation.

Here begins an incredible adventure which technical section is incredible, a rare beauty with no precedents in the video game world, being realistic and perfectly designed with its accurate architectural style in vogue in the regions where the game is set, for example Valadilene is entirely built in Art Nouveau. The characters have amazing graphic features, they only have those little defects in rough-edged forms that it is extremely difficult to eliminate, however valuable, if you think that the game was released in 2002.
The sound section is perfect, the sounds are perfectly in sync and in some scenes reaches epic levels (the train trip). Moreover, the noises are not standardized, respect what you see (the noise of birds varies depending on the type of bird found in the scene), even the noise of steps in sync. In addition, a soundtrack that varies depending on the environment and fascinates and surrounds.
